Is your desire to achieve a highly successful eyelash extension company that investors will be fighting over in years to come?

What steps will you need to take to get there?

You have finally discovered a skill that you love …. the application of eyelash extensions.

Over the next few years you open your own business, patiently grow your clientele while keeping up your high standards. People far and wide are whispering your name in the same breath as the word “lashes” and “eyelash extensions”.

However, after a while, you feel a bit stuck in a rut. Your body is aching from the hours and hours of graft. You have filled every hour of the day conceivably possible with styling clients, sometimes back-to-back without even taking a loo break!!

You started your business with a vision of where you wanted to take it, however now you are so busy that these dreams are now clouded.

The Makings of a Leader

Three personality types come to mind when I think of successful business owners.

  • Entrepreneur – you were excited to open your own business and continue to have a vision
  • Manager – you are smart enough to implement and monitor systems that organise daily tasks such as simple book-keeping, stock control and customer service.
  • Technician – you opened your business because you are good at what you do and you wanted to do it on your own terms.

Only by calling on these three personalities, while keeping them simultaneously in balance, can an owner succeed.

What if you want to work ON your business aswell as IN it? You have a better shot at doing that if there is more than one of you!

Fast forward to the bit where you are ready to sell your business and reap the rewards of your years of hard work.

Many beauty businesses are sold on for less than the price of the fixture and fittings that are in the salon!

How can you become that salon that can command a selling price of around 2.5 times or more of your annual turnover?

Part Two of this intoxicating blog will be released soon.

Until then, see you on my secret lash page on Facebook “Ms.DIVA Says” where I keep dipping in and out to see whether any one of my students has posted up a message or photos for me to give my tuppence worth.

Today is my son Cole’s 17th bithday and it is 8am in the morning and I hear him waking up upstairs. Quick! I need to sign his name on his Spiderman birthday card and wrap his presents.

Got to run!!!!!
