OUR STORY

The Ms.DIVA Brand was born both out of a massive love of glamour and out of an innate need for survival.

Ms.DIVA was a visualisation of Aoife Durity's in the spring of 2010. After fleeing a 10 yr long abusive relationship and spending a few weeks with her two young sons in a Women's Refuge, Aoife began to repair her life and her self-esteem.

"You begin to feel a great sense of freedom, pride and confidence in yourself after you finally leave a domestic violence situation. My life has changed enormously since.

I began to focus on what really made me feel alive and I finally began to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a Makeup Artist. I decided to first take a course in learning the art of applying Eyelash Extensions. Lashes were relatively new to the Irish Market in 2010 and the demand for the treatment became huge within a short space of time.

"Ms.DIVA Master Lash Stylists" was born....

I poured my heart and soul into creating pretty looking masterpieces on my new clients and soon built up a huge client base, leaving me with no time to pursue my longed-for Makeup Course! I therefore specialised in lashes and soon became a Lash Educator to fill the need in Ireland for quality Master Level Lash Training.

"Ms.DIVA Master Lash Academy" was born....

My brand, Ms.DIVA, symbolises the empowerment of women/men. I love that many of my students (both female and male) have followed in my footsteps and are earning a great living doing what they love with successful lash businesses of their own. I want a stunning set of lashes to bring out the confidence and the DIVA in each of our clients!

Nowadays, I celebrate where I am in life, I have accomplished many of the things that I've wanted to. I am very proud of myself and my children ( who are now adults!) who I've successfully raised by myself with the business I have built which started from taking a Lash Course.

Presently, the Ms.DIVA Brand has many facets. Ms.DIVA Salon is situated in Cork City Centre in Ireland where clients are styled by highly trained Ms.DIVA Master Lash Stylists under Aoife’s wing.

Aoife has built up her reputation as being an industry leader in training students at her Master Lash Academy in Cork and students even fly in from abroad to attend her courses.

“Ms.DIVA Master Lash Products” was born….

Ms.DIVA Luxury Lash Products were developed by Aoife in 2016 and are sold globally to lash artists looking for a high quality brand to work with. Sales are operated from a large warehouse in Cork and products are shipped far and wide.

“Ms.DIVA Says” was born…..

2020 is Ms.DIVA’s 10-yr anniversary of being in business and Aoife has celebrated by going virtual by launching her own YouTube Channel, Virtual Online Lash Acodimy and also by creating a Ms.DIVA Diamond Member’s App, which is a 24/7 Virtual Lash Conference App in the palm of your hand.

Meet Marie!

Students who sign up to Ms.DIVA’s Virtual Lash Academy will become very familiar with Marie Prenderville’s friendly, caring voice! Marie touches base with our students at the start, during and after their courses through a series of live calls. Marie provides invaluable live guidance and support and works closely with Ms.DIVA, filling her in with all queries and together coming up with solutions when needed. Marie loves the training side, is very much a people’s person and loves the chats with students!

An honours beauty graduate of Bronwyn Conroy Beauty Academy in Dublin, Marie has been specialising in Eyelash Extensions for the past 5 yrs after being mentored herself by Ms.DIVA. Marie adores using Ms.DIVA Products, especially Ms.DIVA Pre-Fanned Volume Lashes and produces the most flawless, bespoke sets on her lucky clients! Her motto is to “work smarter, not harder” and with Ms.DIVA’s Brand, this is exactly what she can achieve. Marie began training to teach loishes under Ms.DIVA’s wing in 2019 and is now the head lash trainer for Ms.DIVA at Bronwyn Conroy covering Dublin and its surrounding areas.

Marie is also an extremely talented singer with a few song releases under her belt (and has been known to sing to her clients while styling them!) If you are one of our online students and receive a call from Marie to check in with you and she suddenly breaks into song, please just try and join in!
